Alexis has been interested in theatre since the age of 5. Traveling to NYC on her 6th birthday to see Phantom of the Opera was such a thrill that she went back on her 7th birthday. Since then, Alexis has performed in a number of musical theatre productions. From Gypsy (at age 8) to Music Man, from Sound of Music to Fiddler on the Roof, she has been drawn to the stage.She also enjoys dramatic theatre, playing such roles as Tartuffe and Margot Frank in Anne Frank's Diary. To further her studies, Alexis has attended the Walnut Hill Arts Summer Opera Program in Boston and Italy, Washington National Opera Institute, Manhattan School of Music Summer Festival and the Alexander and Buono Summer Festival, working with exceptional teachers. She performed on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center on her 17th birthday and debuted at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall when she was 18. 2012 will provide her third opportunity to perform at Weill Recital Hall. Alexis is a sophomore vocal performance major at Oberlin Conservatory studying with Lorraine Manz. She also is pursuing a minor in directing. About Alexis
